KOMPAS.com – Cristiano Ronaldo called childish and spoils the moment Anthony Elanga in the match against Brentford.

Cristiano Ronaldo appeared as a starter when Man United match against host Brentford in the postponed match week 17 of the English Premier League 2021-2022, Thursday (20/1/2022) early morning WIB.

However, Ronaldo did not play fully. CR7 was withdrawn in the 71st minute and was replaced by Harry Maguire.

When Ronaldo left the field, the Red Devils were in a 2-0 lead. However, there is no Ronaldo’s name on the scoreboard.

In addition, Merson also considered that Ronaldo had ruined Anthony Elanga’s historic moment at Man United.

Anthony Elanga made his debut for Man United in the Premier League this season against Brentford and he scored straight away.

The 19-year-old wonderkid scored Man United’s first goal, which opened the way for another Red Devils goals, scored by Mason Greenwood and Marcus Rashford.

Elanga’s contribution helped Man United bring home a 3-1 win at Brentford Community Stadium.

However, Anthony Elanga’s action seemed to be covered by Cristiano Ronaldo’s anger when he was pulled out.

Paul Merson also felt that Ronaldo should apologize to his juniors.

“Cristiano Ronaldo owes Anthony Elanga a huge apology. What he did against Brentford ruined the young boy’s big day,” Merson said.

“Poor boy. He became his first Premier League starter of the season and scored for Manchester United, but Ronaldo ruined the moment.”

Man United will host West Ham United in matchday 23 Premier League 2021-2022 at Old Trafford Stadium, Saturday (22/1/2022) night WIB.

Cristiano Ronaldo could potentially miss the match due to a neck problem.
