It was about ten minutes before the break that Astrit Selmani and Noah Sonko Sundberg were involved in a nasty collision that led to the Hammarby star landing badly in the plastic carpet at Tele2 Arena.
The referee Kaspar Sjöberg and several Bajen and Östersund players immediately announced that Selmani needed care.
After a few minutes, Selmani was carried out on a stretcher, while Sonko Sundberg was able to get up and continue playing.
The Hammarby player received continued care off the pitch for a number of minutes before being carried in through the player tunnel. Then he received standing ovations from the audience on the spot.
On Twitter, the club has given the following message:
“Astrit Selmani lost consciousness for a few seconds during the collision in the ongoing match against Östersund. In addition to cracked eyebrows, concussion can not be ruled out. Astrit is now being taken to hospital for further examination.”
In came Selmani came Mayckel Lahdo.
