Dubai, United Arab Emirates (CNN) – The Secretary-General of the Lebanese Hezbollah, Hassan Nasrallah, responded to reports about the existence of a special attaché for Lebanon, within the terms of the agreement between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Iran, to resume diplomatic relations between the two countries and reopen their embassies.
Nasrallah said, during a televised speech, on Wednesday, that what was circulated about the inclusion of an appendix to the agreement when it was signed in the Chinese capital, Beijing, this month, is “incorrect news, and has no basis in truth.”
Nasrallah added, “Originally, they did not discuss the history of Lebanon. The word Lebanon was not mentioned in this meeting, neither from near nor from afar.”
And he continued, “Let us ease it a little, and say that we take matters into the realism of this positive climate. We must benefit from this climate internally, from this positive climate, in order to achieve this achievement and (presidential) entitlement.”
On the other hand, Nasrallah said, commenting on the deterioration of the economic situation and the depreciation of the Lebanese pound: “It is illogical for the dollar to rise thirty and forty thousand pounds at once. to a discussion about his health.
Nasrallah pointed out that “there was no money for Hezbollah in the banks,” explaining: “Some of our brothers who are financiers or merchants, because of their closeness to us, had their money taken out of the banks because of the American sanctions, so they brought this money for a good loan.”
The Secretary-General of Hezbollah said, “If we in Lebanon are unable to resolve the issue of the presidency and the government, then let him invite an economic dialogue table to save the economic situation,” which includes “making investments, and the Chinese are ready and present to undertake projects starting with 12 billion dollars.”
