While the death toll remained unchanged at 8,904, 26 patients recovered during the day, contributing to a count of 4,73,852 recoveries. Currently, there are 58 active cases in the district. The Indian government has been actively vaccinating its population, with over 165 million doses administered as of June 2021. However, concerns remain high about the emergence of new variants of the virus and the ability of the country’s healthcare system to withstand further waves of the pandemic.
