“NasDem Raises Concerns Over Unhealthy Impact of Jokowism Idea Triggered by PSI”

Jakarta

Party NasDem evaluate ideas Jokowism which is triggered PSI could have an unhealthy impact on democracy. According to NasDem, there is no perfect leader.

“That has an unhealthy impact on democracy. That nothing is perfect, that imperfection makes us always evaluate and improve. So every 5 years there is an election in the cycle of power,” said Deputy Head of National Democracy Ahmad Ali when contacted, Saturday (13/5/ 2023).

Ali said the emergence of this idea could also become a new problem. According to him, it is better to continue what was good during Jokowi’s leadership era, but what has not been good has been resolved.

“If the 10 years that we have passed, we come up with an idea and then this becomes a new problem, Mr. Jokowi is given a mandate by the state to carry out development. What he is doing today, we have to admit. But then is there nothing else to do? needs to be repaired. What we want the initiators to do is then a sustainable development program,” he said.

“So what is good today is continued, what is not good is finished being repaired and so on. So that there is a good circulation of power,” he continued.

Ali further assessed that the idea sparked by PSI had political goals. He said it was too hasty for the Jokowism idea to become a national idea.

“Yes, we understand that their aim is to gain political interests from Pak Jokowi. But it’s too hasty to make this a national idea. In the past, criticizing Anies now worships Pak Jokowi, right? That’s normal in politics, not something good in the future for us, ” he added.
