Party NasDem will hold an event change alert apple at the Main Stadium Bung Karno’s surge (GBK), Jakarta on July 16. The chairman of the DPP NasDem Party, Charles Meikyansah, revealed that there might be a shock effect from his presidential election Anies Baswedan at the event.
“The vice presidential candidate earlier, my colleague Sahroni said, not yet. But is it possible that there will be a shock effect on the 16th? That’s a public question represented by the media, right?” said Charles at the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Monday (3/6/2023).
Charles said it was possible that Anies would give clues about his running mate later. He believes there will be a shock effect in the event.

“There could be a final clue that Mr. Anies will convey, that what is in his pocket is for example whether men, women, represent Javanese, outside Java, represent certain professions, and so on. Well, this is a shock effect that Mr. Anies will definitely convey it,” said Charles.
Charles emphasized that the name of the cawapres was already in Anies’ pocket. He left it to Anies when it would be announced.
“Because Pak Anies has everything in his pocket, it’s just a matter of when the momentum will be, Pak Anies himself will convey that,” said Charles.
“However, we respect Mr. Anies suddenly on July 16, when my colleague Sahroni said that his cawapres had not been announced, but suddenly it felt good too if July 16 was announced,” he said.
Charles said that on July 16, NasDem would again declare Anies as the presidential candidate for the Coalition for Change for Unity (KPP). He opened up the possibility of inviting PKS to Democrats.
“God willing, we will bring in all cadres from NasDem who will also strengthen Anies Baswedan’s victory as president in the 2024 elections,” said Charles.
“Definitely, if invited, yes, if invited by the Democratic Party with PKS. But later, the focus of the forces that will be present will be presenting all cadres, what are called cadres are NasDem administrators at the central to district or city centers, down to the branch level,” he continued .
