NASA’s Megan Moon rocket is being talked about right now. The giant rocket belongs to NASA’s Artemis I project.
As the name implies, the rocket will carry out a mission to fly to the Moon. NASA is planning a test launch of their rocket on March 17, 2022.
Before actually taking off to the moon, Megan Moon has been preparing on the launch pad since some time ago at the Kennedy Space Center, Florida.

NASA’s Megan Moon Rocket Test Phase
The United States Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) never ceases to amaze. This time they made a rocket that would fly to the moon.
NASA seems to have prepared the Orion spacecraft aboard the Space Launch System (SLS) rocket, also known as the “Megan Moon Rocket”.
This rocket is a manifestation of NASA’s ambition to find out more about the moon. The existence of significant progress is also a sign that the launch mission to the moon Artemis I is getting closer.
In a statement, NASA said that Megan Moon will travel as far as 6.4 kilometers in the process of pre-launch tests.

The rocket will take off from Kennedy’s Vehicle Assembly Building (VAB) to Launch Pad 39B if there are no obstacles. The rocket’s maiden launch will begin at 5 p.m. local time.
Launch director for NASA’s Exploration Ground Systems Program, Charlie Blackwell-Thompson, explained that the rocket would take an hour to reach its final destination.
The rocket will travel at a speed of 1.3 km/h by Crawler-Transporter 2.
If the test is successful, then the rocket will undergo a test known as the “wet dress exercise”. The engineers themselves gave the name because the test would allow the rocket to be enveloped in a supercooled liquid propellant.
“Calls to the station for wet clothing practice will likely start on April 1 and continue with tank refilling on April 3, 2022,” explains Blackwell-Thompson.

NASA’s Megan Moon rocket or which has another name SLS has an extraordinary size. The height of the rocket is about 98 meters.
Meanwhile, the estimated weight of the rocket is 2.6 million kilograms. When airborne, Megan Moon will provide thrust up to 8.8 million tons.
Megan Moon also has several parts in it, such as four jet engines. Each of these engines is 65 meters high and is enclosed by the same two booster rockets.
NASA will launch a rocket on this Artemis I mission without a crew to move near the moon. Despite gliding without a crew, Megan Moon is actually able to accommodate four people in it.
If the test launch is successful, NASA’s Megan Moon rocket is scheduled to take off in May in 26 days. Furthermore, NASA has long-term plans to bring astronauts to the moon in 2024. (R10/HR-Online)
