Liputan6.com, Jakarta – The small asteroid visited by the Lucy space probe belonging to the United States National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) had a big surprise for scientists.
Asteroid Dinkinesh has a tiny friend, namely a mini-sized Moon.
The small moon was discovered when the probe flew past around Dinkinesh on Wednesday (1/11/2023), about 480 million kilometers from the main asteroid belt outside Mars.
The vehicle photographed pairs of space objects while they were in the air at around 435 kilometers. That’s as reported VOA Indonesia, Saturday (4/11).
