NASA Will Take Your Name Around the Moon in the Artemis I Program, Interested in Registering? Page all

KOMPAS.com – Set foot on the surface Month only a select few can do.

But our name, whoever the name of the world community, has the opportunity to fly into the vacuum of space around this single satellite of the Earth.

Our name can be shot into space and carried around the Moon through a program launched by the United States space agency, NASA.

Reported from CNNFriday (11/3/2022), NASA is gathering a number of names to include flash drive and will be launched into space using spaceship Orion.

NASA spokeswoman Kathryn Hambleton said for anyone wishing to include a name in the flash drive to be taken into space, there will be no charge or free.

“We hope it’s a way to get people excited and bring them along and inspire the next generation, the Artemis generation,” said Hambleton.

The plan is that the plane that carries a number of names will be launched in month May or June this year.

However, NASA claims to have not announced when the launch date will be carried out.

NASA plans to announce the exact date in the next few weeks.

Hambleton said, NASA opened the registration of these names since early March. And so far, they have received more than 1 million names.

“We hope to keep this momentum going even more than what has happened in the past week, to garner more names and generate more excitement for people around the world who will travel virtually,” he said.

Misi Artemis I

The program is part of the Artemis mission, which seeks to return NASA astronauts to the Moon.

But on the Artemis I mission which will carry these names, the aircraft will be launched unmanned.

Artemis I will test NASA’s newest space exploration system.

The Orion spacecraft will be launched using the world’s most powerful rocket from Launch Complex 39B at the Kennedy Space Center in Cape Canaveral, Florida, United States.

The plane will travel as far as 280,000 miles or 450.616 kilometers from Earth.

This mission will last for 4-6 weeks. Orion will travel for thousands of miles past the Moon.

According to NASA, this is the longest distance a spacecraft has ever traveled to humans.

After Orion completes its orbit around the Moon, it will land off the coast of Baja California, Mexico.

NASA said, after returning to Earth, the spacecraft means it has traveled more than 1.3 million miles or 2,092,147 kilometers.

Furthermore, on the Artemis II mission, NASA will test various parts of Orion and by that time there will be a crew of astronauts there.
