A NASA announced that it will reveal the first photographs captured by the James Webb Space Telescope on July 12, an occasion when the full capabilities of the new satellite will be unveiled as well as never-before-seen images of the Universe.
James Webb was launched into space in December 2021 and in the meantime NASA has been trying to correctly position the satellite and make the necessary adjustments. How does it count TechCrunchit is known that one of James Webb’s goals is to find exoplanets and planets outside our Solar System, seeking to understand their atmospheric conditions.
“We are only now realizing what the [James] Webb can do”said NASA administrator Bill Nelson, implying that, regardless of the quality of these first photographs, improvements can be expected for the future.
