The US Space Agency is constantly following the movements of many space objects that could pose a threat to Earth

NASA is tracking an asteroid “that could pose a danger” that is expected to pass near the planet Earth tomorrow – and the US space agency announced today that the giant rock is called WV44 2013, with a diameter of 160 meters, and is considered relatively large, and the asteroid was seen for the first time in 2013, where Astronomers report that it is moving at 11.8 kilometers per second – about 34 times the speed of sound.

The US Space Agency’s Near-Earth Object Research Center estimates that the asteroid will pass within 3.3 million kilometers of Earth, which is a range relatively close to celestial bodies but does not pose a threat to Earth. The asteroid will pass at its closest point to Earth in the morning hours.

NASA and space agencies are following hundreds of other space objects that could pose a threat to the planet, despite the difficulty of detecting them, which means that part of them cannot be seen until a short period from the moment of collision. In February, an asteroid with a diameter of one meter was detected just seven hours before it entered the Earth’s atmosphere over northwestern France.
