LOS ANGELES, May 8 (Xinhua) — NASA plans to launch a new SpaceX resupply mission to the International Space Station in early June, according to the agency.
The SpaceX Dragon cargo spacecraft is scheduled to launch on the company’s Falcon 9 rocket no later than June 3, from Launch Complex A39 at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida.
SpaceX Dragon will deliver new scientific research, food, supplies and equipment to the international crew, including the newest pair of outdoor solar panels to the International Space Station, according to NASA.
These solar panels, which are deployed using stored kinetic energy, will expand the space station’s energy production capabilities, according to the agency.
