Food, fuel and other supplies for the trapped astronauts were delivered today (17/8) to the International Space Station (ISS) by a spacecraft.
In particular, the unmanned Progress 89 spacecraft delivered about three tons of supplies.
It is expected to remain tethered to the ISS for about six months before departing for re-entry into Earth’s atmosphere.
It is noted that the station currently hosts the seven crew members of the regular mission (Expedition 71) and two NASA astronauts, Sunita Williams and Barry Wilmore.
They remain off schedule at the station due to safety concerns for Boeing’s Starliner capsule, preventing their return to Earth.
