NASA sent a doctor via holoportation technology to the International Space Station (ISS), on Tuesday (19/4).
Dr. Josef Schmid, NASA’s flight surgeon, was beamed as a hologram into orbit to chat with European Space Agency (ESA) astronaut Thomas Pesquet.
This technology consists of a Microsoft Hololens Kinect camera and special software from AEXA.
The research team produced a high-resolution 3D model of the doctor projected inside the ISS.
