NASA recalculates Apophis asteroids will not hit Earth in 2068, Earth is safe for the next century

CAPE CANAVERAL, KOMPAS.TVWow, here are some relieving cosmic news.

NASA announced that Earth would escape the threat of being hit by an asteroid during the next century.

The United States Space Agency announced this week that their new telescope observations have ruled out the possibility of the asteroid Apophis hitting Earth in 2068.

The Apophis asteroid is a 340 meter high space rock that was calculated to be close to Earth and could potentially crash in 2029 and again in 2036.

NASA previously ruled out the possibility of a hit twice as long as the asteroid’s trajectory was approaching Earth, but the potential 2068 collision is still looming, now it’s scientifically no longer confirmed.

First detected in 2004, the Apophis Asteroid is now officially off NASA’s asteroid “risk list”.
