NASA Plans to Send Two Astronauts on a Mission to Mars

KOMPAS.com – United States Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), finally announced it would ship two astronaut in mission to Mars.

The reason is, for the past few years, scientists have ambitions to send humans to the planet Mars.

The mission is planned to last 30 days, during which NASA astronauts will land on the surface Red Planet.

His party has also prepared an outline, or a list of plans for how they will stay for approximately one month on Mars.

In addition to carrying astronauts, the spacecraft can also serve as a place to live for them when carrying out exploration missions.

Reported from IFL ScienceWednesday (18/5/2022) there are at least 50 goals to be achieved from the mission, with the draft planning which has also been prepared carefully.

Later, scientists will send a cargo weighing 25 tons carrying food, medicine, and other necessities first before sending two astronauts to Mars.

NASA says that once there, the astronauts will need time to adapt to the atmosphere on the Red Planet.

“The results we have received from the destinations we have identified will inform plans for exploration on the Moon and Mars over the next 20 years,” said NASA Deputy Administrator Pam Melroy.

Melroy admitted that to make NASA’s plan to go to Mars a success, it takes a lot of support from various stakeholders. Thus, it opens up opportunities for international partners to collaborate in the future.
