INDOZONE.ID – The United States Space and Aviation Administration (NASA) has recently opened job vacancies for 4 people. It is known that the vacancy has the task of staying for one year in a simulated planet Mars.
Indeed, currently NASA is building a special simulation place in the Johnson Space Center building which will be made with conditions and habitats that are exactly like the planet Mars.
Well, later the 4 people who apply will be placed in the location of the simulation of the planet Mars with an area of about 160 m2 for one year. During this time, NASA will conduct 3 experiments to determine the influence of humans on living on Mars for a long time.
Quoted from Daily Star, the applicants who are accepted will of course be paid to carry out the simulation. But applicants also have to learn a lot of things like spacewalking, interplanetary communication, and food/resource management.
Therefore, the required applicants are also known to have a master’s degree in science, engineering, mathematics, or aviation and also have an age between 30 to 35 years.
If you look closely, these requirements are quite similar to the requirements to become an astronaut. Because in the future, the first humans to live on Mars are astronauts.
