The space agency of the USA – NASA, has published photos that show what is the fate of the quantities of gas that Russia suspended for some of the European countries.
According to the Finnish edition “Jule Yutiset” footage taken by NASA shows flames at Gazprom’s Portova compressor station, the starting point of the Nord Stream I gas pipeline and from where the gas travels to Germany.
The huge flames from burning the gas can be seen from Finland. This is also the reason why some northern regions are warming twice as fast as others, the newspaper wrote in its article.
So far, Russia has not made an official comment on the subject, but one thing is certain – regardless of whether it burns the gas supplies or not – the quantities it sends to the Old Continent are significantly reduced, putting the whole of Europe in a serious difficulty considering the approaching autumn-winter season, notes 20minutos.
