NASA discovers a second amazing Earth-sized planet. The second Earth-sized planet orbits a distant star. The discovery of this earth-like planet immediately attracted attention.
Previously, planets similar to Earth had been detected several times. Earth-like planets that have been detected previously also have the same size.
However, none of these planets have the same characteristics as Earth, which is habitable. Currently, NASA has again discovered a planet similar to Earth.
Interestingly, there is the idea that this planet might actually become a second Earth. Why is that?

NASA Discovers New Earth-Size Second Planet
Scientists have been searching for a second planet where life could live for a long time. Starting from Mars, to various exoplanets to be research material.
However, none of them fit and met the criteria to become a second residence. NASA’s latest news found a planet the size of Earth.
The American space agency has detected an Earth-like planet orbiting a distant star. Emily Gilbert, Postdoctoral fellow at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory, Southern California, stated that this planet has earned the nickname TOI 700 e.

Located in the Habitable Zone
One thing that sets TOI 700 e apart from other Earth-like planets is that it is located in the habitable zone.
Gilbert explains that TOI 700 e is one of the few systems with a large number of small planets in the habitable zone. This is suddenly an extraordinary thing.
The research team presented the findings of this NASA planet to the 241st woman of the American Astronomical Society Seattle on Tuesday (10/1/2023).
The idea arose that NASA had found a second Earth-sized planet that was in this habitable zone that could possibly be habitable.

Planet Status TOI 700 b
Even though it is in the habitable zone, it does not mean that TOI 700 e can live in living things. Everything returns to the state of the planet.
Previously, NASA had found a planet in the same zone, namely TOI 700. The planet orbits every 37 days.
Meanwhile, planet TOI 700 e itself has a faster orbit time, which is only 28 days. Planet TOI 700 e is also about 95% the size of Earth and likely rocky.
Meanwhile, NASA has found a total of four TOI 700 planets, namely planet TOI 700 a, b, c, d, and most recently e. TOI 700 is one of the very few star systems that astronomers know of small planets in the habitable zone.
A red dwarf star whose planet TOI 700 orbits similar to the Sun, but has a lower temperature.
NASA again found a second planet the size of Earth using TESS which is specifically designed to find more planets and stars. (R10/HR-Online)
