NASA Explores Potential Discoveries of Inhabited Planets with James Webb Telescope

A NASA scientist revealed that the US space agency held conferences about what it would do if the James Webb telescope found evidence of another inhabited planet.

The expert recently spoke about the possibility of finding aliens at an event in New York City. Speaking during the Beyond the Light exhibition

“There are more scientists looking in the skies for signs of alien civilizations,” NASA scientist Dr. Michele Thaler told a small group of attendees. “We’ve had conferences about what would happen if the James Webb space telescope observed the atmosphere of a planet around another star and we saw things that don’t look like space.” normal.”

Dr. Thaler is a scientist at NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center and brings decades of experience. She suggested that signs of “things that don’t look normal” would include evidence of pollution on a distant planet.

The expert did not reveal the strategy of confirmation and disclosure to the world of finding alien life. But she believes aliens exist and it’s only a matter of time until we get proof of that.

The $10 billion James Webb Space Telescope journeys into deep space and sends back new images almost every day. Dr. Thaler hopes to soon find a planet that looks just like Earth.

Dr Thaler continued: “The Webb telescope has the ability to detect chemicals and gases in planets orbiting other stars. We already did that with Webb, but all the planets were very different from Earth. Hopefully this year we will find one very similar to Earth.”

Thaler also believes that alien life could be very close and even within our solar system, and expects that microbial life could be found on Venus, Mars, or even Titan, Saturn’s largest moon, according to the British newspaper The Sun.
