Not long ago, NASA released a video with the title Will an asteroid someday crash into Earth? The answer is YES. Similar things have happened in the past and will also be the case in the future.
“Yes, asteroids hit Earth in the course of their history and will happen again. Space dust, meteors, even small asteroids hit Earth very often,” answered NASA scientist Kelly Fast, reported by Cnet, Friday (27/8/2021).
But people need not worry, because asteroids that cause impact or harm to the Earth’s surface are very rare events. “This happens on a time scale of hundreds to thousands of millions of years,” Kelly said.

NASA itself and other space agencies monitor the movement of asteroids and predict how they will affect the planet. For at least the next century, it is predicted that there will be no major danger posed by an asteroid collision.
