NASA Collaboration: Coperni Unveils Air Bag at Paris Fashion Week 2024

We’ve arrived at the end of Paris Fashion Week autumn/winter 2024, and many brands this season have surprised fashionistas quite a bit. Recently, the Coperni brand’s Instagram account revealed a photo of a bag made out of air. With cooperation from NASA That created quite a bit of excitement for fashion people. Part of the Fall/Winter 2024 collection, it is made from NASA nano-silica airgel. which is the lightest solid in the world NASA uses this delicate nanomaterial to capture stardust, and The Air Swipe Bag is the largest object ever made from this space nanomaterial.

The brand has also explained the composition of the nano materials used to produce the said bag. It has 99% air and 1% glass, with a weight of 33 grams and a size of 27x16x6 centimeters. It was developed by Professor Iannis Michaludis of NASA.
