NASA Astronauts Conduct Spacewalk for Scientific Research and Maintenance

Los Angeles, November 1, 2023 (Xinhua) – NASA astronauts Yasmine Moghbeli and Loral O’Hara conducted a spacewalk on Wednesday with the aim of conducting scientific research and carrying out maintenance work for the station.

The two astronauts began their walk at 8:05 a.m. Eastern time on Wednesday. The walking mission is scheduled to last about six and a half hours.

The duo was tasked with removing radio communications equipment and replacing hardware that enables the orbiting laboratory’s solar arrays to track the sun, according to NASA.
