A NASA astronaut named Megan McArthur said she was sad when she saw Earth from space.
This happened to NASA astronaut Megan McArthur who lived on the International Space Station (ISS). The cause is the occurrence of great fires that occurred at a number of points on Earth.
In fact, a number of large forest fires can be seen from space.
“We are very sad to see fires across much of the Earth, not just the United States,” Megan McAthur said in an interview with Insider and quoted from Futurism, Friday (20/8/2021).
He said a number of scientists had warned about this incident. This challenge must also be faced by the entire global community.
“For years scientists around the world have been ringing this alarm bell, This is a warning to the entire global community. It will take the entire global community to face this and overcome these challenges,” he explained.
The disaster is visible in satellite imagery. It appears that forest fires are forming smoke clouds of astronomical proportions in some areas of the Earth.
The fires occurred from Siberia, Greece, Spain and also the Pacific Northwest. Turkey is also reportedly hit hard by the forest fires that occurred this year.
The United States (US), also experienced the same thing. The country is said to be struggling to recruit enough firefighters to cope with the disaster.
