Many neighborhoods have been affected by riots and multiple arson attacks across France, particularly in Ile-de-France.

The firefighters intervened at 1 a.m. and evacuated 41 residents from the building. Four people were taken to hospital. We want to show our full support and solidarity to the residents affected by this fire. In addition, we extend our thanks to all the rescue and security forces that intervened last night.”detail the teams of the PS mayor, Cédric Van Styvendael.

The City was mobilized from the start of the disaster, and “all night”to relocate 35 people, who could not be accommodated by relatives, in different hotels.

The municipal team will meet the evacuated residents in the coming hours. For residents who will not be able to quickly return to their accommodation, longer-term accommodation solutions are being studied, in close collaboration with the co-ownership trustee.says the press release.

Finally, Cédric Van Styvendael calls for calm after these terrible events: “the death of young Nahel aroused great emotion throughout the country. Justice will have to shed light on the circumstances of this tragedy which has upset us all. Beyond legitimate emotion and anger, we call for calm and we unreservedly condemn attacks on persons and property.”.

The police authorities hope that their message will be heard so as not to experience another night under high tension.
