Recently, a user on the ‘X’ platform shared an incident where he had to avoid boarding this flight at the last minute and it went viral. Bill Elmore has opened up about how he made a last-minute change to his trip at the suggestion of a colleague and made a miraculous escape.
The night before the incident, his co-worker persuaded him to take another flight to San Jose. On United Airlines Flight 93, he was initially bitterly disappointed to miss his luxury ride, but little did he know at the time that the change would save his life.

‘A colleague called me in the middle of the night and said my flight to San Jose was being changed. My first class seat on United Airlines Flight 93 was switched to another flight. I was very disappointed but set out for the trip. “When I reached the airport, I saw people boarding Flight 93 and I was disturbed,” he noted.

It was during this time that the attack on the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center in New York City was learned. He said, ‘As we were taking off the pilot told us to look to the right of the plane and it looked like a plane had hit the Twin Towers. A second plane was seen hitting the other tower. We turned back just before take off,’ he wrote.

Soon, his post about his life-threatening accident went viral on social media and he received positive responses from people all over the world. Some have inquired about the reasons for choosing this flight over another one at the last minute. And he answered it.
‘My colleague chose this flight. Flight 93 will take longer to arrive in San Francisco and from there to Mountain View, resulting in a late arrival for the meeting. That’s why we decided to change the flat at the last minute,’ Bill Elmore noted.
