As in the first half, the Violets came out of the dressing room well and equalized a few minutes after the restart: Kathi won the ball in the pressing on the edge of the penalty area and passed it perfectly to Schäfer, who put the ball into the top corner in a spectacular way! A co-production of the two 16-year-olds led to the 2:2 (51′).
The purple women remained the more pleasing team, although MTK proved to be a tough nut to crack; the Hungarians were annoying and stood well. Shots from Triendl (61st minute) and Schäfer (71st minute) did not lead to any further goals. The guests had one at their feet when referee Mimra awarded a penalty in the 82nd minute – but Larissa Haidner made an exemplary save!
The fact that the match did not end in a draw was due to a late goal by the visitors from a suspected offside position, Haidner had no chance in a one-on-one (90+2). So in the end the team suffered their first defeat of the preparation, but the violet coaching team, which deliberately made few substitutions and made them very late in this game, was still able to take a lot with it.
