Safeties need a good eye for the game situation, a good understanding of the game and a feeling for open spaces in order to defend them. With Narrio Walks, the Dresden Monarchs have now found their desired safety.
The 22-year-old has played for Seton Hill University (Div. II) in the USA for the past four years. In all four years, Walks was among the top two tacklers on his team. With the American, the Royals now have a flexible defensive back that will stand up to fast, large wide receivers and strong running backs.
Narrio Walks was born in Miami, Florida. He started his football career at Miami Central High School. The 99-kilogram safety found its place at Seton Hill University (Div. II). Here Walks quickly showed what he is capable of. Despite his more defensive position, he was one of his team’s top tacklers here and demonstrated his outstanding game vision. Overall, he collected 269 tackles over the four years. A very good value and one of the reasons why the Dresden Monarchs chose Walks.
At 1.87 meters tall, Narrio Walks is a great safety and that’s why he can be used flexibly as a defense back, corner back or safety. Dresden can therefore look forward to a very good player who will help the Monarchs in several defensive positions.
„We immediately hit it off with Narrio and he will complement our defense perfectly‘ said Defense Coordinator Martin Schmidt.
