At the request of the head of the establishment, a team of gendarmes, supported by two dog teams, carried out a search for narcotics among the students of the Lycée Louis Geisler in Raon-l’Étape on Monday January 9. Three of them will be the subject of legal proceedings.
Monday January 9 early in the morning, a control operation took place at the Lycée Louis Geisler in Raon-l’Étape (Vosges). At the request of the head of the establishment, 18 soldiers from the Saint-Dié-des Vosges Gendarmerie Company, reinforced by two dog teams from the GIC Epinal, subjected the students and their belongings to a search for narcotics.

The operation lasted part of the morning and led to the discovery of cannabis resin. A student was also found in possession of a weapon (brass knuckles and knife). In total, three students will be subject to legal proceedings.
“This operation followed a prevention action carried out in front of the students by a soldier with the qualification of Anti-Drug Relay Trainer (FRAD)“carried out on November 29, 2022, explains the Gendarmerie, during which”106 students were made aware of the risks linked to addictions“.
