Narbonne: the hospital’s Covid screening changes address

Up until now on rue Rabelais, on the ground floor of a consultation building, the screening center of the hospital center moved on Monday… On the same temporary site as the vaccination.

The construction huts of the workers assigned to the construction of the new hospital consultation building – the wooden cladding complex called “Saint-Paul pavilion” – changed destination overnight from Sunday to Monday.

In the space of a few hours, they were reconditioned to accommodate, since Monday, January 18, both the vaccination center relocated from the hospital center (just opposite) and the screening center.

The free screening offered until then on the ground floor of an annex to the hospital, rue Rabelais, was almost a matter of professional secrecy. While the staff there were very warm, professional and conscientious, the back door was not easy to find, especially in the early morning hours of low traffic. From now on, opposite the hospital, well signposted, the screening center is open Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., with or without Appointment.

The hospital’s vaccination center is open seven days a week, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and from 12:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. for the first phase of vaccination for liberal health professionals, home helpers, ambulance workers, firefighters over 50 years or with comorbidities as well as people over 75 years old. Vaccination is 100% covered.

On the other hand, making an appointment is necessary but currently at a standstill due to the crowds. It is done online on Doctolib.

Vaccination and screening center, rue de l’Armée des Alpes, in front of the hospital’s main entrance.
