NAPLES – Napoli managed to party a goal against Atalanta in the fourth week of the 2020-2021 Italian League which just ended on Saturday (17/10/2020) evening WIB. Gennaro Gattuso’s squad was able to beat Atalanta with a landslide score of 4-1.
Playing at the San Paolo Stadium, initially many thought the Napoli vs Atalanta match would be very exciting and fierce. Moreover, both teams played with an open attacking pattern.
So, actually don’t be surprised if there will be many goals that are created in the Napoli vs Atalanta match. However, unexpectedly it was a one-sided match, in which Napoli appeared very dominant over the visiting team.
Napoli even beat Atalanta 3-0 when the game had only been running for three minutes. The first three Napoli goals were created by Hirving Lozano in the 23rd and 27th minutes, and Matteo Politani when the game entered the 30th minute.
Before the first half closed, Victor Osimhen also gave Napoli another advantage. The 4-0 score lasted until halftime and showed how devastated Atalanta was in the first half
When the second half started, Atalanta actually had the intention to get up. They were not afraid at all even though they were behind 0-4 by Napoli. Atalanta’s belief also bore fruit.
Because in 69 minutes, Atalanta managed to score his first goal in the match thanks to contributions from Sam Lammers. The score was changed to 4-1 and the match was increasingly interesting.
However, Napoli actually has a strong defense. Atalanta also had difficulty adding to their goal coffers and had to be willing to end the match by giving Napoli three points.
Because of losing to Napoli, Atalanta also failed to replace AC Milan, which currently sits at the top of the 2020-2021 Italian League standings. Meanwhile, Napoli who won big can improve their position and are now in third place.
