The Italian club Napoli has denied the possibility of signing Portuguese national team sniper Cristiano Ronaldo from Manchester United next January.
Napoli, the Italian leaders, confirmed that they are not suffering from any lack at the moment.
Cristiano Giuntoli, Napoli’s sporting director, ruled out any signings of big names or the exit of prominent players from his team, underlining that Napoli are confident they have a strong group of players and are in an adequate state of balance.
Napoli are looking for their first title in the Italian league since the 1989/1990 season, when the Argentine legend Diego Maradona took him to the title.
Napoli are currently at the top of the Italian league table with 29 points from 11 games and have achieved five consecutive Champions League victories.
Ronaldo could leave Manchester in the next winter transfer window if he receives an offer suitable for all parties, in light of his quest to participate in the Champions League.
“We are very far from the market, at the moment we only think about everyday life, we are constantly trying to improve ourselves”, Giuntoli told the Mediaset group.
Regarding Ronaldo, Giuntoli explained: “The January market is a reform and we don’t have to fix anything, so I really think we won’t do anything.”
