Coach Position Napoli Rudy Garcia could be really in danger. Because, President Aurelio De Laurentiis dissatisfied with Garcia’s performance.
Garcia was appointed as a replacement for Luciano Spalletti who resigned after bringing Napoli to Serie A champions last season. However, the achievements so far are still disappointing.
Napoli have just played their second of eight Serie A matches this season, when they were beaten by Fiorentina with a score of 1-3 at home last weekend. This result left Napoli stuck in fifth place in the standings, seven points different from AC Milan.
This is of course inversely proportional to Napoli’s great pace at the start of last season, which was the key to success in winning the Scudetto. Apart from performance issues, Garcia also failed to handle Napoli’s two stars well.
Garcia is reportedly at odds with Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Victor Osimhen. Therefore, De Laurentiis is said to be dissatisfied with Garcia’s performance and there is a chance to fire him.
This rumor is not a figment because De Laurentiis admits that he is annoyed with the current condition of the team. But regarding the continuation of Garcia’s career as Napoli coach, De Laurentiis does not want to rush into making a decision.
“I’m annoyed with him. I’m a businessman and I certainly want to know whatever happens in my company. Coaches and Sports Directors are your employees,” said De Laurentiis as reported by Football Italia.
“I will make decisions at the right time. I will not be influenced by existing conditions, I must have time to think. If I rush, it will be the wrong decision. In life, you cannot have everything. It is important to remain humble and work hard.”
