NapiDroid releases Honor Play 7T and 7T Pro.

Honor has announced two new mid-range devices in China. The new products are called Honor Play 7T and Play 7T Pro, they are powered by a brand new MediaTek Dimensity chipset, and have a 90 Hz display and a 50 megapixel primary camera.

The Honor Play 7T is equipped with a 6.74-inch IPS LCD screen, which displays content in HD+ resolution with a 90 Hz refresh rate. This model has a drop-shaped sensor island that houses a 5-megapixel camera. The Pro variant has a 6.7-inch LTPS LCD display with Full HD+ resolution and an 8-megapixel selfie camera, the latter of which is placed in a small camera hole. The 90 Hz image refresh rate is a given this time as well.

On the back of both novelties is a 50-megapixel primary image capture unit, complemented by a 2-megapixel depth sensor. The MediaTek Dimensity 6020 chipset is responsible for driving the smartphones, to which both models have a fixed 8 GB of RAM and, depending on the configuration, 128 or 256 GB of storage during assembly.

The Honor Play 7T is covered by a 6,000 mAh battery that can be powered by 22.5 watt charging, while the Pro variant has a 4,000 mAh battery, but it is also compatible with 40 watt fast charging. The smartphones are also equipped with a fingerprint reader mounted on the side frame and a headphone jack. Both novelties run the Android 12 operating system supplemented by the manufacturer’s own Magic UI 6.1 interface.

The Honor Play 7T is available in silver, blue, and black, with the basic 8/128GB version priced at $160 and the 8/256GB version priced at $189 in Chinese currency. In Hungarian money, this means approximately HUF 56 and 67 thousand.

The Honor Play 7T Pro is available in green, silver and black colors, the 8/128 GB version costs 218 yuan, and the 8/256 GB model costs 247 yuan (~ HUF 77 and 87 thousand). Honor’s new products are already up on the official Chinese website of the manufacturer, open sales of the devices will begin on April 6. Global distribution has not yet been discussed.
