Boxing is one of the sports favorites of Mexicans and that is why it is usual that, after a big fight, the desire to continue enjoying a good fight on the ring last for several days.
This Sunday, after the Canelo fight, we have a boxing card, this time from Tokio, Japan.
The Japanese Naoya Inoue defends his undisputed super bantamweight championship against the Mexican challenger Luis Nery.
Inoue and Nery, ready to get into the ring
The big fight is approaching, between Naoya ‘Monstruo’ Inoueconsidered by many the best boxer pound for pound, and the Tijuana native Luis ‘Pantera’ Nery. A few days ago, both gladiators passed the anti-doping controls and also completed the pre-weighing two weeks before the fight.
Inoue maintains a record 26-0 and he is a four-time world champion at 31 years old. He has held the titles light fly, super fly and rooster of the WBC and the WBO. In his last fight, in December, El Monstruo defeated Marlon Tapales by knockout and won the WBA, IBF and The Ring magazine belts.
Nery’s record is 35-1 and he was a two-time world champion who already holds crowns in weight super bantamweight of the WBC and The Ring, but after testing positive for the banned substance zilpaterol, Nery was stripped of The Ring title.
After failing to make weight before the rematch with YamanakaNery was also stripped of title of the WBC.

The fight between Naoya Inoue and Luis Nery will take place this Monday, May 6 and the boxers are expected to enter the ring at approximately 17:00 hours, Central Mexico timeafter the four previous fights on the card, which will begin at 2:00 p.m.
