Supermodel Naomi Campbell has designed a clothing range inspired by her phobia of traveling, featuring clothes she says are anti-bacterial, anti-wrinkle and anti-stress. The collection for the German brand Boss also includes a pressure suit to prevent blood clots during flight.
During the Covid pandemic, the model traveled by plane wearing a full protective suit and goggles, as well as a mask and face shield. “I’m not doing this for laughs. This is how I feel comfortable while traveling,” Naomi said at the time.
Even before the pandemic, Campbell wore a surgical mask and gloves on planes, and would begin the flight by cleaning the area around her seat with antibacterial wipes.
When launching the Naomi x Boss travel capsule collection, Campbell explained, “This collection is designed to empower women to live every moment in style. It’s about creating fashion that complements a woman’s dynamic lifestyle, and makes her feel like she can take on the world, one elegant step at a time.”
“Women today have so many things to do, the last thing they should be worrying about is their clothes, especially when on the go,” Campbell added. “We’ve incorporated technology into fabric to make life a little easier. Everyone knows I’m a germaphobe, so of course we added antibacterial properties.” To ensure freshness and cleanliness.
The model continued, “There is also a wrinkle-resistant feature, which means you go from one meeting to another without worrying about wrinkles. The tracksuit in the collection features a special print with proven anti-stress properties, which enhances the feeling of balance.”
