Nantes bowed to Caen, Lens hung by Le Havre

On the occasion of the Emiliano-Sala Challenge, SM Caen won against Nantes (1-0) thanks to an achievement by Yoann Court on the hour mark (61st). Opportunistic following a strike from his teammate Andreas Hountondji, the Norman midfielder allowed his people to fill up with confidence, before the final of this tournament scheduled for Sunday against Bordeaux. In a meeting intended to pay tribute to Emiliano Sala, the former Argentine striker – who disappeared in January 2019 – Stéphane Moulin’s men have refined their preparation for a week of the resumption of Ligue 2, scheduled for July 24.

To complete their week of training, RC Lens was in Le Touquet (Pas-de-Calais) this Saturday for a friendly double confrontation against Le Havre. In front of nearly 800 supporters present at the Gérard Houllier stadium, the Sang et Or could not do better than a draw (2-2) in the first match. Same score during the second 60-minute opposition – also – where the Normans snatched the equalizer at the very end of the game.
