“Nantes Announces Rugby Village for World Cup and French Team Matches”

D-100 before the start of the Rugby World Cup in France! Two cities in the Great West will also host meetings, namely Bordeaux, in its Matmut Atlantique, and Nantes in La Beaujoire. The City of the Dukes also announced on Wednesday the establishment of a rugby village during the event.

Located in the Parc des Chantiers, on the island of Nantesthis village will accommodate up to 7,000 people. A giant screen will broadcast all group matches of the French team as well as the four matches that will be played at La Beaujoire, namely:

  • Saturday September 16: Ireland – Tonga
  • Saturday September 30: Argentina – Chile
  • Saturday 7 October: Wales – Georgia
  • Sunday October 8: Japan – Argentina

Also on the program, entertainment and sports activities for all ages, in conjunction with associations and rugby clubs. The village will be open for 12 days, between September 8 and October 8. The exact opening dates and times can be found on the Nantes Métropole website.

Note that Nantes will also host a preparation match for the French team, against Fiji, on August 19.
