“The goal is to take people where they would never have gone,” underlines the co-founder, Mathilde Léger. All the interest of soft tourism is to be disoriented without necessarily going far. How ? Departing from Nantes, less than three hours by train, a destination “surprising and revealed at the last moment”, promises Mathilde Léger. SlowBreak offers, from June 2, “eco-responsible mystery weekends”, specifies the manager, between 300 € and 560 €. The reservation form asks for the dates of the stay and the places already visited to guarantee the surprise of a new place. “If people don’t drink alcohol, we’re not going to plan an active wine tasting,” specifies the young woman, presenting the customizations available.
The accommodations are chosen according to labels such as the Green Key or Ecolabel, or according to an environmental approach. “We work with establishments on a human scale and with a certain level of comfort”, assures the entrepreneur. Soft activities (cycling, kayaking, hiking, tastings, etc.) are also on the getaway programme.
The offers are intended for one or two people but also for families with a child under 4 years old.
