Like every year and as a tradition here in Nant, the village is mobilizing once again for the Telethon.
The national dates for this event are November 29 and 30. The Nantes organizers choose November 30 with, to start the day, the presentation of Christmas trees from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., in front of the town hall.
The Christmas trees, from Nordmann, will have been previously ordered from the following merchants, from November 11 until the 22nd: the Roc Nantais bookstore, the bakery and the service station, Les Ohms (St Sauveur). Several sizes are available.
At the same time, a sale of wild boar stew will take place at the town hall from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., the meat being offered by the hunters and cooked voluntarily by the Mazerand butchery. The Barbaresque Seniors Club will sell their famous cupcakes, always delicious, as well as small items.
On the village square, at Claux Park and in the village, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., activities will be offered by the Nant firefighters with tours in walking vehicles, in CCF (Fire Tanker Truck) and workshops. Aveyron is a very dynamic department in collecting donations for this national solidarity event.
Research is progressing enormously, as demonstrated by Doctor Peschanski, head of the Istem Stem Cell laboratory, during his visit to Rodez for the Telethon convention. The people of Nantes are proud to participate in this type of action.
All proceeds from all these sales benefit the Telethon. Last year, the figure of €810 was reached!
