“Nannybag: Your Solution to Luggage Storage in Bordeaux”

Take advantage of a stopover in Bordeaux, without being congested. This is the service offered by Nannybag
, a young company that has been developing a collaborative luggage storage network for seven years. The principle is simple: merchants can join the system, and thus allow travelers to come to their home to drop off their suitcases. A simple online reservation, a price set at 6 euros per day, enough to satisfy visitors on the go.

“We were able to visit the city hands-free”

Saturday May 13, Juan and his friend Lucas, both Spanish, leave their hotel at 11 a.m. Their departure by bus for San Sebastián being fixed at 5 p.m., they have time in front of them. Being only passing through Bordeaux, they have the opportunity to discover the city for a short break. But out of the question to skim the world capital of wine luggage in hand : “I wondered how we were going to be able to do it. I have two big suitcases, and I didn’t want to be cluttered”, confides the tourist, originally from Madrid. By making inquiries, the traveler found the service offered by the Origines store, a specialized shop selling tea and coffee, located in the Saint-Christoly shopping center in the city center. The trader has integrated the Nannybag service, enough to satisfy Juan, whose hotel was located a few meters away: “It’s really convenient! We were able to visit the city hands-free. We were able to visit the cathedral, we went to the park and we even drank a glass of wine”.

For these tourists, it is much easier to book quickly online: “I saw that at the station we couldn’t book, and it was payment in cash only”says Juan. And for 6 euros a day, we are far from the prices offered by other services, which amount to an average of 12 euros for the same service.

An advantage for tourists, but also for local merchants, who can at the same time introduce their products to an international clientele: “For example, travelers will taste our products, our coffees and our teas”explains Pauline, sales assistant at the Origines boutique. In addition, for each reservation, the shops receive half the price. Some of them earn up to 450 per month with this service. In this Bordeaux boutique, attendance varies greatly depending on the saleswoman: “Saturday is always a big day. Monday too, because we have a lot of arrivals. We can have up to 6 reservations a day”.
