Nancy. “Tibet, shadow and light”: filmed conference

The director, Gilbert Leroy, at the invitation of Altaïr, will comment on his film on Tibet. In 1985, he entered Tibet, which had been forbidden until then, and filmed a country emerging from the ravages of the cultural revolution. Witness to the evolution of this country, 30 years later, he presents “Tibet, shadow and light” in which he will discover Lhasa, Shigatse, Gyantse, Ganden, Sakya… the golden roofs but above all a country suffocated by the China, and the extreme difficulty for Tibetans to live under constant surveillance.
