After his four-night stay in the most expensive hotel in town, the “tourist” sped straight… towards the police station.
A man who stayed in theHôtel de la Reine on Place Stanislas, one of the most prestigious in Nancy (Meurthe-et-Moselle), was arrested for not having paid his bill when he left.
According to Eastern Republican, this man who lives in Vandeuvre-lès-Nancy and comes from eastern countries owed 800 euros to this four star hotel which will soon win a fifth.
He steals the guest book and the coffee service
The management of the hotel lodged a complaint and an investigation was opened. Police managed to identify the unscrupulous customer who was passing hotel to hotel in the area.
In his suitcase, the investigators also found the establishment’s guest book, a coffee service and a bath towel.
The 38-year-old man was released after his custody and will soon be tried during an appearance on prior admission of guilt for thefts.
