A group of Ligue 2 clubs was created during this summer period to highlight actions they consider questionable on the part of AS Nancy Lorraine in terms of the transfer window. The LFP responded on Wednesday to those concerned by a letter revealed in particular by the site MaLigue2. The latter is also able to confirm the protagonists: Ajaccio, Amiens, Grenoble, Paris, Dunkirk, Guingamp, Toulouse, Auxerre, Le Havre and Rodez. In its response, the LFP recalls that Nancy respects the framework of its payroll and that the DNCG has not found any violation of its regulations in the measure.
A letter to the presidents and clubs concerned
As a result, the Lorraine club does not recruit for a fee even if the LFP also specifies that it is listening to requests: “To date, the DNCG has not identified any paid transfers carried out by the ASNL, which has made it possible, in accordance with LFP regulations, to approve the contracts concluded and to qualify the players concerned. Furthermore, Nancy is still below the payroll limit set by the DNCG “.
The high authority of professional football explains that with its means, it is not able to confirm all the complaints made. This is why it had to turn to the European authorities in order to rule on certain elements: “You rightly bring up the subject of timeshare. The sports code and the regulations of the LFP indeed provide for a certain number of measures on this subject, but these texts cannot govern timeshare on an international scale. They are not opposable to a foreign club, any more than the DNCG is competent to take measures which would concern, even indirectly, a foreign club.“
