As he crossed the Stanislas Square in Nancy, on Monday August 1 shortly before 7 a.m., a 49-year-old man in a wheelchair made a heart disease.
He died on the spot, despite the intervention of witnesses and emergency services.
Witnesses try to resuscitate him
Witness to the scene, a town hall employee came out to help the victim, who had fall from his chair and was lying on the ground. Quickly joined by witnesses who immediately contacted the emergency services, he began cardiac massage.
Despite the resuscitation attempt, which the firefighters took over on their arrival, the forty-year-old was declared dead by the SAMU doctor at 7:18 a.m., according to a police source.
