Nancy. A centenarian receives the City’s gold medal

Adeline Baud is 101 years old. On Saturday October 30, the mayor of Nancy presented the city’s gold medal to the dean of the Deux-Maisons association, in the heart of the Faubourg des Trois-Maisons district, where she has lived since 1978.

80 years of living in Nancy

Born in Terramo, Italy, on August 20, 1920, Adeline Baud arrived in France at the age of four months. The family moved to Tucquegnieux, which Adeline Baud left for Nancy at the age of 20. She will no longer leave the capital of Meurthe-et-Moselle, where she will exercise various jobs, in particular in the sale of ready-to-wear at La Bergère Lorraine.

A centenary surrounded

Surrounded by her two godchildren and her neighbors, Adeline Baud received her medal with good humor and emotion. “I didn’t know I was a star,” she laughs in front of the photographer’s lens, preferring to highlight those close to her. “Thank you for thinking of me, I have always loved you and I still love you”, she exclaimed by way of speech.
