2024 Women’s National Archery Team Oh Ye-jin (Gwangju Women’s University, 69 points) and Lee Eun-kyung (Suncheon City Hall, 43 points) passed the second round in 10th and 17th place, respectively, and are determined to shake off the disappointment of not making it to Paris and take on a shining challenge in Gwangju. .
First place in the women’s division was taken by emerging powerhouse Yeom Hye-jeong (Kyung Hee University, 90 points), and second place went to Kang Chae-young (Hyundai Mobis, 88 points).
Paris Olympics Taegeuk warrior Jeon Hoon-yeong (Incheon City Hall, 76 points) was ranked 7th, and Im Si-hyeon (Korea National Sport University, 62 points) was ranked 11th.
20 men and women who passed the second round of selection will advance to the third round of selection, scheduled for March-April next year.
They will compete fiercely again from the starting point without reverse point allocation to select the 2025 national archery team, with eight men and women each.
The eight men and women on the national team will participate in a final ranking evaluation match, and the top three men and women will receive tickets to the Gwangju World Archery Championships.
The World Archery Championships, which will be held in Gwangju for the first time in 16 years following Seoul in 1985 and Ulsan in 2009, will be held at the Gwangju International Archery Range from September 5 to 12 next year.
