The scandalous mayoral candidate from Momin Prohod Diana Gabrovska collected a part of her personal story in a book, after she became a victim of extortion with her naked photos from the personal archive of her and her husband.
Diana will present her book “I, the sinner” on June 10, 2021 at the Mezon Hotel at 36 Atanas Dukov Street from 20:00.
In her book, she recounts the most difficult moments in her life and shares an example of how she managed to stand up and move forward after each stroke of fate.

“A year ago, when I was crushed and my family was crushed by hatred, no woman gave me a hand. And the men mostly called my husband to ask him when he was going to dump me and if he wasn’t going to beat me anymore.
It’s scary when people are publicly blackmailed – we see such cases almost every day – whether it’s about your nude photos or someone “big” wants to steal your business – blackmail has become our daily routine. Almost no one supported me at the time… The same thing happened to the girlfriend of the mayoral candidate in Sofia. She hid and no one heard of her again. She was defeated, but not me! No strong woman, of those who fight for their emancipation noisily every day, came out to support me. As long as everyone survives individually, as long as we divide, as long as we point and look at each other viciously, we will never be modern a society that respects the rights of all and preserves them together! Because other people’s violated rights may be yours tomorrow. ” said Diana Gabrovska
In recent years, Diana has not stopped shocking and challenging people. After deciding not to hide, as most women have been the victims of public “lynching” and harassment, she stripped even more naked to provoke her judges.
“I like erotica, I feel confident and sexy when I’m shooting and it never bothered me. The photos that came out in the public space during my election campaign were a serious encroachment on my personal space. With my photo shoot in Playboy, I gave a clear signal to all people that there is nothing scary or shameful about liking our bodies and being sexual. For me, the Playmate competition is a continuation of my perseverance to fight all the people who hurt me when I was weakest. I will not stop with Playmate, and even after that I will continue to provoke the last remaining Puritan to faint with indignation. I really want to one day see in this country more free and broad-minded people than gloomy haters, who mostly point with dirty finger, hidden behind the screen of their computer … “, shared Diana Gabrovska
From a candidate for mayor of Momin Prohod through a victory in the Miss Playmate contest, and finally the publication of memoirs – the story of Gabrovska becomes more and more interesting and full of curious events and unexpected meetings, unexpected twists and various lessons. Gabrovska even challenged all Bulgarian artists to join the presentation of her book with her paintings, which are inspired by the photo that ruined her life. One of these paintings became the cover of Diana’s book. The artist Victoria Parvanova, who lives and works in Belgium, won the top spot in the book. Victoria has a master’s degree in painting from the Royal Academy of Arts in Antwerp and managed to turn Diana’s most commented photo into a real art.
The famous Bulgarian artist Onnik Karanfilyan will also join the exhibition with his work. With their works they supported the cause of Diana and 16 other Bulgarian authors. Their paintings will be able to be seen and purchased at the promotion of “I, the sinner”, and the proceeds from their sales will be donated to women who have been victims of harassment and violence.
