Journalist Najwa Shihab admitted that he would not be part of the winning team for the presidential and vice presidential candidates in 2024 presidential election coming.
He said this in response to a statement by vice presidential candidate Muhaimin Iskandar who said Najwa Shihab was one of the candidates to lead the winning team.
“I will not be part of any candidate’s team in the 2024 presidential election,” wrote Najwa on her Instagram story @najwashihabMonday (18/9).
Apart from that, Najwa also said that she had never been invited to communicate regarding her position on the winning team for the presidential and vice presidential candidates.
“I have never been invited to communicate, let alone offered the position of team leader by any presidential candidate,” he said.
Previously, Muhaimin Iskandar said Najwa Shihab was one of the candidates to head the winning national team Anies-Cak Imin (Amin National Team) in the 2024 presidential election.
There are also several other names being discussed. Everything is still under consideration before being decided.
“One of them is Najwa Shihab and various things, many names,” said Cak Imin in Surabaya.
He said that the Amin National Team was still looking for a suitable figure to be chosen as chairman. Nothing is certain yet.
“It has not been concluded yet,” he said.

Meanwhile, PKB Deputy Chairman Jazilul Fawaid said there were 21 names being considered to become chairman of Amin’s national team in the 2024 presidential election.
Jazilul said that the formation of AMIN’s winning national team would come from various backgrounds, from political parties to technocrats.
“Oh, there are already 21 names being considered,” said PKB Deputy General Chair Jazilul Fawaid at the parliament complex, Jakarta, Monday (18/9).
However, Jazilul did not want to divulge the 21 names under consideration to become head of the national team.
“We can’t say names, what is clear is that if it’s not a man, it’s a woman,” he said.
