The gynecological oncological service of the Nairi MC, being a certified European center, is expanding the geography of doctors who have undergone retraining in the service: EU countries, Iran, India, Georgia, Russia, Ukraine. Now Bhutan has joined them.
Obstetrician-gynecologist Namku Dorja, in the course of increasing her knowledge in the field of gynecological oncology, was inspired by video materials posted online by the head of the Department of Gynecological Oncology at Nairi MC Artem Stepanyan.
Today, a doctor from the Jigme Dorji Wangchuck National Referral Hospital and an associate professor at the Khesar Gyalpo University of Medical Sciences of Buthan is in Yerevan to get acquainted with Artem Stepanyan’s surgical technique on the spot.
“At home in Bhutan, I watched videos of Artem Stepanyan’s operations, which were very instructive, and I came to Yerevan to watch how he operates, especially to become familiar with the technique of performing operations to remove gynecological tumors – cervical cancer and ovaries. And I’m glad to be here today,” he says.
Namkha Dorju likes the Nairi Medical Center. The hospital has well-trained and supportive staff, he said. The work is well organized at all levels of the clinic. And he himself would like to work in such a center.
The doctor adds that he learned a lot here, including the process of operating an operating room. Namkha Dorj took part in several operations, and thanks to Dr. Stepanyan, he better understood the technique of performing complex operations. Now he already knows the intricacies of the technique of performing operations for cervical and ovarian cancer, as well as for benign tumors of the female organs.
Namkha Dorj advises colleagues from other countries who want to improve their surgical technique in the field of gynecological oncology to definitely choose the Nairi medical center.
“I would definitely advise doctors from other countries to visit Nairi MC, especially if they want to learn surgical techniques of an international level.
